WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CBD?
CBD helps to promote health and balance in the endocannabinoid system, which has been linked to a number of vital processes in the body. In our experience, CBD as a daily supplement has been useful for assisting in general health, stress relief, treat anxiety, neurological disorders, seizures, inflammation, chronic pain, digestive issues, assist in quitting tobacco addictions and overall life balance.
HOW MUCH CBD SHOULD I TAKE?
Everyone is different. Some people experience the best CBD effects for their needs with a lower or higher amount of CBD than our recommended serving size. Start low (25mg), adjust as needed. Suggestions may range from 25mg – 150mg a day.
WHAT IS CBD AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT THAN MARIJUANA?
Industrial hemp or CBD, is any cannabis plant that contains “no more than three-tenths of one percent (0.3%) on a dry weight basis.” Marijuana is typically consumed with the intention of generating a psychoactive “high”, hemp lacks the THC, the ingredient that makes you feel that way.
Cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are the two most abundant compounds found in cannabis plants. Both CBD and THC belong to a unique class of compounds known as cannabinoids.
THC is the intoxicating ingredient in marijuana. CBD, however, is non-intoxicating. In other words, CBD can’t get you high.
While most countries have strict laws surrounding marijuana and THC, hemp-derived products are federally legal. However, regulations may vary from state to state.
HOW DOES CBD WORK?
Studies have shown the existence of a system of cell receptors in your body, called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which spreads throughout connective tissues and even into your organs. The cannabis family of plants contain compounds which interact specifically with this system and provide nutritional and therapeutic value that is unavailable in most other plants. More research is needed to figure out the full array of effects this compound has on our bodies.
WHERE DOES CBD COME FROM?
CBD is extracted and separated from specific varieties of cannabis known as hemp. Chemically, CBD is one of 100+ chemical substances known as cannabinoids, which are all found in the cannabis plant. CBD is typically the most abundant compound in hemp, representing up to 40% of the plant.
WHAT IS THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM (ECS)?
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the mammalian brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, consisting of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors.
There are two main types of receptors in the ECS, CB1, and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily located in the central nervous system and brains of mammals, and CB2 are generally found in the peripheral nervous system. There are two main cannabinoids mammals produce- 2AG and Anandamide (named after the Sanskrit term “Ananda” which translates to “bliss”).
For hundreds of millions of years every vertebrate on Earth has been equipped with this ECS, a crucial system in the body, and it has been known about in the scientific and medical communities since the 1980’s.
WHAT ARE TERPENES?
The cannabis plant consists of a wide variety of chemicals and compounds. About 140 of these belong to a large class of aromatic organic hydrocarbons known as terpenes (pronounced tur-peens). Terpenes are also found in fruit, spices, and other plants.
Terpenes, unlike cannabinoids, are responsible for the aroma of cannabis. The FDA and other agencies have generally recognized terpenes as “safe.” Terpenes work in synergy with cannabinoids to produce greater benefits. Some terpenes can even interact with cannabinoid receptors. However, more specific research is needed.
DOES CULTAVITA CONTAIN THC? WILL I FAIL A DRUG TEST?
Whole-Plant CBD Products:
CULTAVITA products contain trace amounts of THC, less than 0.3% which is the federally allowable legal limit. We can make no guarantees that our products will not cause a false positive on a drug test, due to the fact that CULTAVITA products contain trace amounts of THC, and individuals will metabolize those cannabinoids differently. We recommend that customers purchase a drug test for themselves to determine how their body reacts.
THC-Free Products:
Our THC-free CBD products are tested at several intervals of the manufacturing process to ensure they are completely free of THC. In exceedingly rare cases, it may be possible to trigger a false positive on a urinalysis due to the presence of metabolites created by CBD. This is true of any quality hemp extract because of the inconsistent nature of drug screenings.
WHEN DOES CBD EXPIRE?
The shelf life of CBD flower is 1 year. The shelf life of CBD oil is 2 years.
HOW SHOULD I STORE CBD PRODUCTS?
We recommend storing our products in a cool, dry location, out of open sunlight. The typical medicine cabinet or pantry should be fine.
ARE CULTAVITA PRODUCTS ORGANIC?
Our hemp is grown to organic standards, and we will strive to achieve certification as soon as it is possible.
HOW CAN I BECOME A CULTAVITA RESELLER?
You can become a reseller of our products if you are a store owner or have your own website from which you can sell products. Please email info@cultavita.com.
